Louise Dahl-Wolfe

Louise Dahl-Wolfe (1895-1989) was a portrait and fashion photographer, best known for her days with Harper's Bazaar magazine from 1936 to 1958. She was a great influence on Irving Penn and Richard Avedon. Here is the Wikipedia bio.

The prints below came to us from a man whose father was George Dzugan, a master printer who was chosen by Dahl-Wolfe to make prints for her first retrospective exhibition, held at the Grey Art Gallery of New York Univeersity in 1983. These prints are excellent exhibiton quality works from that show and are very rare. They are priced at or below current auction levels.
