| There is so much art in the Vatican that at some point people can no longer turn their heads to look at any more. The human nature of either the artist or the one commissioning the art was to see Jesus and Mary from his own (in this case) Catholic point of view. Notice how the Vatican commissioned artist depicted Mary as both Catholic and a nun and Christ as other than (Hebrew) or Semite. |
