Eliot Porter: Portfolio One, The Seasons, published in 1963, 12 dye transfer prints in an edition of 105. This is copy number 1, a rare find!: $9,500.00. We have had this beautiful portfolio priced at $14,000.00, which is a fair price, but now its consignor has lowered it significantly. Again, it's the first one in the edition.

Henri Cartier-Bresson: On the Banks of the Marne, 1938, printed on 16 x 20 paper, signed: only $7,000.00. One of Cartier-Bresson's best known photographs, we have it priced at less than half of the going retail. The print has two small creases in the left border which go a half inch into the image. Even with the imperfections, it's still worth more than our price. |
